Pavan Malhotra, a veteran Indian actor working mostly in the Hindi film industry, was born on July 2, 1958, in Delhi, India. Pavan started his career in the costume department of the film ‘Gandhi’ (1982). From there, he became a production assistant, did the Delhi theater circuit, and moved to Mumbai where he worked as an assistant in the television industry, eventually getting a role in the tv series ‘Nukkad’ in 1986. Pavan made his film debut in 1984 in the movie ‘Ab Ayega Mazaa’. Some of his well-known films are: ‘Pardes’ (1997), ‘Black Friday’ (2004), ‘Jab We Met’ (2007), ‘Delhi 6’ (2009), ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ (2013), ‘Punjab 1984’ (2014), and ‘Judwaa 2’ (2017). Pavan continues to work in television and recently received praise for his portrayal of a victim of the 1984 ani-Sikh riots in ‘Grahan’ for Hotstar, and a Punjab police retiree in ‘Tabbar’ for Sony LIV (2021). Pavan won the 2022 Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actor in a Drama Series for ‘Tabbar’.
