Happy Birthday to Shoojit Sircar, Indian director, producer, and screenwriter, born on September 16 (year unknown), in Kolkata, West Bengal, India. Shoojit made his directorial debut in 2005 with ‘Yahaan’, a romance, Kashmiri war drama starring Jimmy Sheirgill. His next film became a surprise hit, ‘Vicky Donor’ (2012). Produced by John Abraham, Shoojit won the National Film Award for Best Popular film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. The film, a romantic comedy, starred Ayushmann Khurrana (his debut) as a reluctant sperm donor. In 2013, he directed and produced ‘Madras Café’.
