Aishwarya Rajesh is an Indian actress working primarily in Tamil films, born on January 10, 1990, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Aishwarya started her career in a Sun TV comedy show ‘Asatha Povathu Yaaru?’, and as the winner of a dance reality show ‘Maanada Mayilada’ Her first films were a comedy action thriller ‘Neethana Avan’ (2010), and a romantic drama, ‘Avargaium Ivargalum’, in 2011. In 2014, she received a Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress in ‘Kaaka Muttai’, playing a mother of two boys. The same year, she co-starred with Vijay Sethupathi in ‘Rummy’, a romantic drama, and ‘Pannaiyarum Padminiyam’, based on a short story about an old man and a vintage car. In 2016, she worked with Vijay again in ‘Dharmadurai’, as a village girl. Aishwarya had two breakthrough roles in 2018. They were in Vetrimaran’s crime saga, ‘Vada Chennai’, as Padma, Dhanush’s love interest, and ‘Kanaa’, as a female cricketer. Aishwarya won several awards for her performance including the 66th Filmfare Awards South for Best Actress (Critics) – Tamil. ‘Kanaa’ was remade in Telugu as ‘Kousalya Krishnamurthy’ (2019), becoming her Telugu debut. She made her Hindi debut in 2017 in ‘Daddy” starring Arjun Rampal. Other movies in the recent past are ‘World Famous Lover’ (2020), ‘Ka Pae Ranasingam’ (2020), ‘Boomika’, ‘Tuck Jagadish’, and ‘Republic’ (2021).
