Dulquer Salmaan ~ popular young Indian actor, born on July 28, 1986, in Kochi, Kerala, India. Dulquer, who is seen in mostly Malayalam films, is the son of Malayalam superstar Mammootty. Dulquer has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Purdue University in the United States.  In 2012, he made his debut in the Malayalam movie ‘Second Show’, winning the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. His second film was the very successful ‘Ustad Hotel’ (2012). It won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment. He made his singing debut in ‘ABCD: American-Born Confused Desi’ (2013), with the popular song ‘Johnny Mone Johnny’. In 2014, Dulquer received a second Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut in the Tamil-Malayalam film ‘Vaayai Moodi Pesavium’. His tenth film, ‘Bangalore Days’ (2014), became one of the highest-grossing Malayalam films of all time. Other successful films are: ‘O Kadhal Kanmani’ (2015), ‘Charlie’ (2015), ‘Kali’ (2016), ‘Kammatipaadam’ (2016), and ‘Comrade In America’ (2017). In 2018, Dulquer made his Hindi debut in ‘Karwaan’, co-starring Irrfan Khan. He will soon be seen his second Hindi film, ‘The Zoya Factor’, co-starring Sonam Kapoor. Dulquer is married and has a daughter, Maryam.
