Jitendra Kumar is an Indian actor, born September 1, 1990 in Khairthal, Rajasthan, India. He comes from a family of civil engineers, and has a B.Tech in Civil Engineering. As a child, he mimicked Bollywood stars like SRK, Amitabh Bacchchan, and Nana Patekar. Jitendra became interested in acting while a student at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He was invited to join The Viral Fever, a video and media service, in 2012. In 2013, one of the videos he starred in, ‘Munna Jaxbaati: The Q-tiya Intern’ went viral with 3 million views. Other popular characters he created for TVF videos are seen in ‘Permanent Roommates’ (2014), ‘Tech Conversations With Dad’(2024), TVF ‘Bachelors’, a frustrated corporate employee in TVF ‘Pitchers’ (2015), and as a kind-hearted Physics lecturer on the well-received ‘Kota Factory’(2019-2014). Jitendra made is film debut in ‘Shuruat Ka Interval’, an anthology feature film in 2014. Other films include ‘Gone Kesh’ (2019), ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhad’ and ‘Chaman Bahaar’ (2020), ‘Jaadugar’ (2022), ‘Dry Day’ (2023), and ‘Lantrani’ (2024). In 2020, Jitendra won the Filmfare OTT Award for Best Actor (Comedy Series) and again the 2022 for Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Actor in a Series (Male) – Critics: Comedy for ‘Panchayat’. He plays an engineering graduate who becomes a panchayet secretary in a remote village. The popular series is in its’ fourth season on Amazon Prime.
