Vivek Oberoi is a Bollywood actor, born on September 3, 1976, in Hyderabad, India. His father was Bollywood character actor Suresh Oberoi. Vivek made his debut in Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Company’ (2002), winning a Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut and Best Supporting Actor. In the last two decades, he has appeared thirty plus films such as: ‘Road’ and ‘Saathiya’ in 2002, ‘Dum’ (2003), ‘Yuva’ (2004), ‘Kisna: The Warrior Poet’ (2005), ‘Omkara’ (2006), and ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ (2007). More recently, Vivek has had success playing the evil Kaal in ‘Krrish 3’ (2013), and an unhappy husband in the adult comedy ‘Grand Masti’ (2014). In 2017, he was seen in ‘Bank Chor’, as a heartless CBI officer, and in the Tamil action thriller ‘Vivegam’. In 2019, Vivek co-starred opposite Malayalam icon Mohanlal in ‘Lucifer’ (a Malayalam film), and was the Indian Prime Minister in ‘PM Narendra Modi’. He also made his Kannada film debut in ‘Rustum’ (2019). Vivek is also known for his philanthropic work for the victims of the tsunami in 2004, as a WHO anti-tobacco spokesperson, and working with mentally challenged homeless women. Vivek is also a businessman and partner of Karrm Infrastructure which builds affordable housing at low cost. Vivek married Priyanka Alva Oberoi in 2010, and they have a son and a daughter.
