Yash (born Naveen Kumar Gowda) is an Indian actor, born on January 8, 1986, in Karnataka, India. Yash works in the Kannada film industry. He wanted to become an actor from a young age and moved to Bangalore at age 16. He worked with a theatre group as a backstage worker and eventually became an actor. At the same time, Yash completed college with a Bachelor of Arts degree. In 2004, Yash started working in television with the serial ‘Uttarayana’. He appeared in several other series before given the opportunity for a supporting role in ‘Jambada Hudugi’ in 2007. His next film, ‘Moggina Manasu’ (2008), a teen romance, was his breakthrough role. Yash received a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor South for this movie. In 2018, Yash portrayed Rocky, an orphan born in Kolar Gold Fields, in ‘K.G.F.: Chapter 1’. The movie dubbed into Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, become a phenomenon. The highest-grossing Kannada film, it earned Yash nationwide recognition. In 2022, ‘K.G.F.: Chapter 2’ also became a blockbuster. Yash was married to a former co-star, Radhika Pandit, in 2016. They now have a son and a daughter. Yash and Radhika run a social welfare non-profit called YashoMarga Foundation.
