Happy Birthday to Prabhu Deva, Indian actor, director, choreographer, and extraordinary dancer, born on April 3, 1973, in Mysore, Karnataka. Prabhu, whose father Mugur Sundar, was a choreographer for South Indian films, started his career as a background dancer in the 1988 a Tamil movie ‘Agni Natchathiram’. He went on to choregraph over 100 movies, working in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bollywood. Prabhu also worked as an actor/choreographer throughout the 1990s in Tamil and Telugu films. In 2005, Prabhu made his debut directing a Telugu film ‘Nuvvostanante Nenoddantana’. The second film he directed was ‘Pournami’ (2006), starred Prabhas.  He has directed some very successful Bollywood movies: ‘Wanted’ (2009), ‘Rowdy Rathore’ (2012), ‘R…Rajkumar’ (2013), ‘Action Jackson’ (2014), ‘Singh is Bling’ (2015), and ‘Dabangg3’ (2019).  Prabhu has been honored with the highest civilian award by the state of Tamil Nadu in 2015 and with the Padma Shri Award in 2019 for his contribution in the field of arts.
