Abhishek Bachchan, Indian actor, and producer, born on February 5, 1976, in Mumbai. Abhishek is the son of Amitabh Bachchan, an iconic acting figure in Bollywood for the last forty-plus years, and a famed actress mother, Jaya Badhuri Bachchan. Abhishek began his film career debuting in ‘Refugee’ alongside Kareena Kapoor. After a string of box office flops, things changed in 2004 with ‘Yuva’, when he won a Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award, and ‘Dhoom’, a top-grossing film for that year. Since then, Abhishek has found success in movies such as: ‘Bunty Aur Babli’ (2005), ‘Sarkar’ (2005), ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’ (2006), ‘Dhoom 2’ (2006), ‘Guru’ (2007), ‘Dostana’ (2008), ‘Bol Bachchan’ (2012), ‘Dhoom 3’ (2013), ‘Happy New Year’ (2014), and ‘Housefull 3’ (2016). Other than acting, Abhishek produced ‘Paa’ (2009), a film about progeria, a rare genetic disease, which was honored with the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi. Abhishek received critical praise for his  role as the third person in a love triangle in ‘Manmarziyaan’ (2019), a surprise hit. In 2020, Abhishek starred in ‘Ludo’, part of an anthology for Netflix, and as a man with a split personality in Amazon Prime’s series ‘Breathe: Into the Shadows”. In 2021, he starred in ‘The Big Bull’ a financial thriller on Disney+Hotstar, and ‘Bob Biswas’, a crime thriller.  Abhishek was seen in ‘Dasvi’, (2022), as an arrogant Chief Minister for Netflix, and in ‘Ghoomer’ (2023), as an unconventional cricket coach to a girl with one arm. He received a Filmfare Awards nomination for his portrayal. In 2024, Abhishek was a cancer survivor in ‘I Want to Talk’.  He has hosted television shows, is a brand ambassador for many well-known companies and has performed on several world-wide tours of Bollywood entertainment shows. Abhishek owns a Pro Kabaddi team and an Indian Super League football team, the Jaipur Pink Panthers. Abhishek has been married to actress Aishwarya Rai since 2007, and the couple has one daughter, Aaradhya.
