Happy Birthday to Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao better known as N. T. Rama Rao Jr. or Jr. NTR, an Indian actor and playback singer, born on May 20, 1983, in Hyderabad.  NTR Jr. is a popular young Telugu actor and he is the grandson of legendary Telugu actor/politician and former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao. As a child, he first appeared in ‘Brahmarshi Vishwamitra’ (1991), a Hindu mythological film written, starred in, directed, and produced by his grandfather. In 1996, NTR Jr. played the role of Lord Rama in ‘Ramayanam’ which won the National Film Award for Best Children’s Film. The film had 3000 plus child actors in it. In his first film as a young adult, NTR Jr. starred in S.S.Rajamouli’s directorial debut ‘Student No. 1’ (2001). ‘Student’s release was delayed and ‘Ninnu Choodalani’ (2001) became his adult debut film. However, ‘Student No. 1’ became NTR Jr. and Rajamouli’s first super hit. He has made 29 films in his career; some have been flops. Here are some of his successful films: the action film ‘Aadi’ (2002), ‘Simhadri’ (2003) directed by Rajamouli, ‘Samba’ (2005), ‘Rakhi’ (2006), Rajamouli’s ‘Yamadonga’, ‘Adhurs’ and Brindavanam’ (2010), ‘Temper’ (2015), the thriller ‘Nannaku Prematho’ (2016) ‘Janatha Garage’ co-starring Mohanlal, and ‘Jai Lava Kusa’ (2017) in a triple role. .  In 2018, he starred in ‘Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava’, the biggest hit of his career to that point.  NTR Jr. is trained in the classical Indian dance style of Kuchipudi, which he mixes with modern hip hop. NTR Jr. can currently be seen in his fourth Rajamouli blockbuster ‘RRR’ co-starring Ram Charen in a period action film.
