Happy Birthday to Neetu Singh, Bollywood actress, widow of Rishi Kapoor and mother of Ranbir, born on July 8, 1958, in Delhi.  Neetu began performing at the tender age of 8, with the stage name of Baby Sonia in the 1966 movie ‘Dus Lakh’. In 1972, Neetu made her debut as a leading actress in the unsuccessful ‘Rikshawala’.  She then appeared in a small role in ‘Yaadon Ki Baarat’ and did what became a very popular dance to the song ‘Lekar Hum’. After this, Neetu did over sixty films with the top stars of the day, including 11 films with her husband-to-be Rishi Kapoor.  Her most successful films include: ‘Kabhie Kabhie (1976), ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ (1977), ‘Deewaar’ (1975), and ‘Kaala Patthar’ (1979).  At the age of 21, Neetu married Rishi and retired from the industry.  She made a comeback in 2009 with ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ (2012), and ‘Besharam’ (2013).
