Happy Birthday to Rajkumar Hirani, award-winning Indian screenwriter, film editor, producer, and director, born on November 20, 1962, in Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. Raju began his career as a film editor, then as a director/producer of commercials.  His big break came in 2000, when he worked as the film editor of ‘Mission Kashmir’ with Vidhu Vinod Chopra.  Raju is most well-known for his direction of ‘Munnabhai MBBS’ (2003), ‘Lage Raho Munnabhai’ (2006), and the iconic ‘3 Idiots’ which became the highest grossing Indian film ever at that time.  ‘PK’ (2014), a sci-fi comedy targeting religions in India, was Rajkumar’s next. Starring Aamir Khan, “PK” became the first Hindi film to gross 854 crore (US $140 million. It is currently the fifth highest-grossing film of all time in India. In 2018, he directed ‘Sanju’, a biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt’s tragic life.  ‘Sanju’ is currently the second highest-grossing Indian film of all time.
