Ranvir Shorey is an Indian actor , born on August 18, 1972, in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. Ranvir’s father was  film producer Krishan Dev Shorey. Beginning his career in 2002, Ranvir made his acting debut in ‘Ek Chhotisi Love Story’ and had another minor role in ‘Jism’ in 2003. He and his friend Vinay Pathak did an Indian stand-up and sketch comedy show for STAR One television called ‘The Great Indian Comedy Show’ in 2004. His breakthrough film came in 2006 with the comedy ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’. He also did the comedy ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’ that same year.  In 2007, Ranvir hosted the successful television talk show ‘Ranvir Vinay Aur Kaun?’ with Vinay Pathak. Ranvir has done over sixty-plus films. Some successful ones are:  ‘Traffic Signal’, ‘Honeymon Travels Pvt. Ltd.’, and ‘Aaja Nachle’ (2007), ‘Mithya’ and
‘Singh Is Kinng’ (2008), ‘Titli’ (2014), ‘A Death In The Gunj’ (2016), ‘Sonchiriya’ (2019), and ‘Tiger 3’ (2023). Ranvir has won praise for his role Kalpesh Patel, an Indian running a convenience store in New Jersey in the Eros Now web series  ‘Metro Park’ (2019-2021), and as Inspector S. Digendra in Zee5’s ‘Sunflower’ (2021-2024), a black comedy. He is a current contestant on ‘Bigg Boss OTT Season 3’, a reality TV show for JioCinema Premium. Ranvir was married to actress Konkona Sen Sharma in 2010, and they have a son Haroon. The couple were divorced in 2020 but share custody of their son.
