Happy Birthday to Tiger (Jai Hemant) Shroff, a Hindi actor, singer, martial artist, and son of veteran actor Jackie Shroff, born on March 2, 1990, in Mumbai. Tiger made his film debut in Sajid Nadiadwala’s Heropanti’ (2014), along with another newcomer Kriti Sanon. He received praise for his dancing and ability to do stunts and won a Filmfare Best Male Debut Award. Tiger’s next was another Nadiadwala film, ‘Baaghi’ (Rebel), co-starring Shraddha Kapoor, released in 2016. A successful film, Tiger was cast as a martial arts champion and did some specular stunt work. His third film was a superhero action film, Remo D’Souza’s ‘A Flying Jatt’ (2016), co-starring Jacqueline Fernandez. Unfortunately, ‘Jatt’ was a flop, as was his fourth movie ‘Munna Michael’ (2017), a dance film co-starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui. In 2018, Tiger starred in the successful ‘Baaghi 2’, co-starring his then girlfriend, Disha Patani. In 2019, he starred in Karan Johar’s unsuccessful sequel ‘Student of the Year 2’. His second film of that year was the action thriller ‘War’ co-starring Hrithik Roshan. ‘War’ became the highest-grossing Hindi film of 2019 and won several awards for Action, Special Effects, and Choreography. In 2020, Tiger made ‘Baagi 3’ which became the second highest-grossing Hindi film of 2020.  ‘Heropanti 2’ released in 2022, was not successful but is now showing on Amazon Prime Video. In 2023, Tiger starred in ‘Ganapath’, an action film set in the future, also starring Kriti Sanon and Amitabh Bachchan in a cameo. In 2024, he starred in the sci-fi action film ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’ with Akshay Kumar and Prithviraj Sukumaran, and in Singham Again’, the 5th installment of Rohit Shetty’s Cop Universe franchise.
