Aditya Roy Kapoor is a Bollywood actor, born on November 16, 1985, in Mumbai. Aditya is a member of a filmy family which includes elder brother Siddharth Roy Kapur, CEO of UTV Motion Pictures, married to Vidya Balan, and his second elder brother Kunaal Roy Kapur, also an actor.  Aditya started his career as a VJ on a music channel. In 2009, he was given a minor role in the unsuccessful ‘London Dreams’.  He also appeared in ‘Guzaarish’ (2010) and Action Replayy (2010). His breakthrough came in 2013, as a singer battling alcoholism in the hit film ‘Aashiqui 2’, co-starring Shraddha Kapoor. His next role was as Ranbir Kapoor’s friend in the highly successful ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ (2013). He made several unsuccessful films after that: ‘Daawat-e-Ishq’ (2014), with Parineeti Chopra, ‘Fitoor’ (2016), co-starring with Katrina Kaif and Tabu, ‘Ok Jaanu’ (2017), again with Shraddha Kapoor, and Karan Johar’s ‘Kalank’ (2019). In 2020, Aditya appeared in the Mohit Suri action thriller ‘Malang’, the film received mixed reviews but his were good, Mahesh Bhatt’s unsuccessful road drama ‘Sadak2’, and Anurag Basu’s funny dark comedy ‘Ludo’ for Netflix. In 2022, Aditya did the action film ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’ streaming on Zee5. In 2023, Aditya played a dual role in ‘Gumrah’, a remake of the action thriller Tamil film ‘Thadam’, now on Netflix.
