Ajay Singh Deol better known as Sunny, Bollywood actor, director, and producer, born October 19, 1956, in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. Sunny is the first son of icon Dharmendra, and elder brother of Bobby Deol, stepbrother of Esha and Ahana Deol. Sunny’s debut film was ‘Betaab’ (1983). The romance was a hit, and Sunny won a Filmfare Best Actor Award. He went on to star in films, such as: ‘Arjun’ (1985), ‘Paap Ki Duniya’ (1988), ‘Narasimha’ (1991), ‘Ghatak’ (1996), ‘Jeet’ (1996), ‘Border’ (1997), and ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’ (2013). In 1990, Sunny’s portrayal of an amateur boxer accused of murder in ‘Ghayal’, won a second Filmfare Award for Best Actor and the film won a National Film Award/Special Jury/SpecialMention (Feature Film). In 1992, he won a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor and a National Film Award for Best Supporting Actor for ‘Damini – Lightning’. In 2001, Sunny starred in a partition/romance, ‘Gadar: Ek Prem Katha’. The film became an all-time blockbuster and was the highest grossing Bollywood film ever at the time. Sunny made his debut as a director with the film ‘Dillagi’, starring himself and his brother Bobby. In 2016, Sunny directed and starred in ‘Ghayal Once Again’. He was last seen in ‘Blank’ (2019), an action thriller. Sunny also introduced his son, Karan Deol, in a film he directed and wrote called ‘Pal Pal Dil Ke Paas’.
