Neil Nitin Mukesh, an Indian actor, was born on January 15, 1982, in Mumbai. Both his father, Nitin Mukesh, and his grandfather, Mukesh, were well-known playback singers in Bollywood. As a child, he appeared in ‘Vijay’ (1988) and ‘Jaisi Karni Waisi Bhamil’ (1989), Neil started his adult career in 2007 playing a crook in the thriller ‘Johnny Gaddaar’. He has appeared in twenty-plus movies, in many as the villain. Some of his more successful films are Kabir Khan’s ‘New York’ (2009), ‘Lafangey Parindey’ (2010) with Deepika, ‘7 Khoon Maaf’ (2011) with Priyanka, ’Shortcut Romeo’ (2013), ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ (2015), and ‘Golmaal Again’ (2017). Neil was also the main villain in ‘Kaththi’, the highest-grossing Tamil film of 2014. He was seen in the romantic drama ‘Ishqeria’, and the thriller ‘Dassehra’ in 2018. In 2019, Neil was seen in the Prabhas thriller, ‘Saaho’ (Telugu/ Tamil/Hindi), and in ‘Bypass Road’ which he also wrote and produced. He won the Zee Cine Awards Telugu as Favorite Supporting Actor Male for ‘Saaho’. Neil has been active in causes that support oppressed women, by providing shelter and education and an initiative increasing awareness of water scarcity. Neil married in 2017 and he and his wife, Rukmini, have a daughter.
