Radhika Apte, is an Indian actress, born on September 7, 1985, in Vellore, Tamil Nadu. Radhika’s father and mother were doctors, and she is an Economics and Mathematics college graduate. Growing up in Pune, she studied the classic Indian dance style known as Kathak for eight years and became involved in theater. She made her film debut in ‘Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi!’, a Hindi fantasy drama in 2005, but her first lead role was in ‘Antaheen’, a Bengali social drama in 2009. Moving to Mumbai, she had a small part in a Marathi film, ‘Gho Mala Asala Hawa’ (2009). Radhika moved on to supporting roles in ‘Rakta Charitra’ and ‘Rakta Charitra 2’ (2010), political crime thrillers and ‘I am’, an anthology, and ‘Shor in the City’ (2011). Other film where Radhika was well received are: ‘Dhoni’ (Tamil/2012), ‘Lai Bhaari’ (Marathi/2014), ‘Badlapur’, ‘Hunterrr’ , and ‘Manji – The Mountain Man’ (Hindi/2015), ‘Kabali’ (Tamil/2016), ‘Parched’ and ‘Phobia’ (Hindi/2016), ‘Pad Man’ and ‘Andhadhun’ (Hindi/2018), ‘The Wedding Guest and ‘A Call to Spy’ (English/2019), ‘Raat Akeli Hai’ (2020), ‘Forensic’ and ‘Monica, O My Darling’ (2022), and ‘Mrs. Undercover’ (2023). Radhika was also seen in the web series ‘Made in Heaven’ (2023), and she is still active in theater. She married Benedict Taylor in 2013 in London while studying contemporary dance.
