Sajid Nadiadwala, one of Bollywood’s top film producers, born on February 18, 1966, in Mumbai. Both Sajid’s father and grandfather were film producers, and Sajid carries on the family legacy with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment. In 1992, his first marriage, to popular up and coming actress Divya Bharti, ended in tragedy when, after 10 months of marriage, she was found dead. His first successful venture was the 1996 movie ‘Jeet’, starring Salman Khan. Sajid followed with several movies starring Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, including ‘Hey Babyy’ (2007), and ‘Houseful’ (2010) and Houseful 2′ (2012), which he also wrote. In 2014, he produced Imtiaz Ali’s ‘Highway’, ‘Heropanti’ with Tiger Shroff, and Chetan Bhagat’s ‘2 States’. He produced and made his debut as director in Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’. Other successful films are: ‘Tamasha’ (2015), ‘Baaghi’, ‘Housefull 3’, and ‘Dishoom’ in 2016, “Judwaa 2’ and ‘Baaghi 2’ in 2017. Projects in 2019 included the highly successful ‘Super 30’ with Hrithik Roshan, the Akshay Kumar comedy, ‘Housefull 4’, and ‘Chhichhore’, a fond lookback to the 90s with Sushant Singh Rajput. Unfortunately, ‘Kalank’, a big budget multi-starrer co-produced with Karen Johar, received mixed and mostly disappointing reviews. In 2020, Sajid produced ‘Baaghi 3’ with Tiger, and in 2021 produced ‘83’ with Ranveer Singh and ‘Tadap’. In 2022, Sajid produced ‘Bachchan Pandey’ with Akshay Kumar, ‘Heropanti 2’ with Tiger Schroff. He produced the successful ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ with Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, and ‘Bawaal’ with Varun Dhawan in 2023. In 2024, Sajid producted the biographical and inspiring sports drama ‘Chandu Champion’, directed by Kabir Khan and starring Kartik Aaryan.
