Tigmanshu Dhulia is an Indian director, screenwriter, actor, and producer, born on July 3, 1967, in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India. Tigmanshu began his career as a casting director of “Bandit Queen” in 1990, and eventually become an assistant director to Pradip Krishen in “Electric Moon” (1992) and Ketan Mehta in “Sardar” (1993). He went on to direct and produce television shows. In 2003, Tigmanshu directed “Haaasil”, his first feature film which eventually gained a cult following. Tigmanshu is best known for screenwriting and directing “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster” (2011) and “Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns” (2013), and “Paan Singh Tomar” (2012) – National Film Awards for Best Feature Film starring Irrfan Khan. He wrote dialogues for ‘Dil Se…’ in 1998. Tigmanshu has also acted in “Gangs of Wasseypur” (2012), “Shahid” (2013), “Manjhi – The Mountain Man” (2015), “Hero” (2015), and “Zero” (2018). In 2017, Tigmanshu wrote and directed ‘Raag Desh’, a film based on the court-martials of the Indian National Army trials in 1945-46.  He wrote and directed the third installment of “Saheb, Biwi Aur Gangster 3” (2018) which did not do well at the box office.  In 2019, Tigmanshu acted in, directed, and produced “Milan Talkies”. In 2020, he appeared as a police officer in ‘Raat Akeli Hai’, and directed and produced ‘Yaara’ for Zee5, starring Vidyut Jammwal and Shruti Haasan. In 2022, Tigmanshu directed the web series ‘The Great Indian Murder’, a crime mystery drama for Disney+Hotstar. He can currently be seen acting in ‘Holy Cow’ (2022), a satirical comedy.
