Trisha Krishnan, an Indian model and popular actress working in the South Indian film industry, born on May 4, 1983, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Before appearing in a supporting role in the 1999 Tamil film ‘Jodi’, Trisha had done modeling and won several beauty pageants. Her first successful films were ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ in 2002, and ‘Saamy’ and ‘Lesa Lesa’ in 2003. Trisha’s first major hit in the Telugu industry was ‘Varsham’ (2004), co-starring Prabhas. She won a Filmfare Best Actress Award (Telugu). Other successful films are: ‘Gilli’ (2004), Mani Ratnam’s ‘Aaytha Ezhuthu’ (2004), ‘Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule’ (2007), ‘Kireedam’ (2007), ‘Sarvam’ (2009), ‘Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa’ (2010), ‘Mankatha’ (2011), ‘Bodyguard’ (2012), ‘Samar’ (2013), ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’ (2013), and ‘Kodi’ (2016). In 2018, Trisha played the role of Jaanu opposite Vijay Sethupathi as Ram in ‘96’. The love story appeared on many Top Ten lists that year, Jaanu and Ram are destined to become a classic couple. Trisha won a Filmfare Award for Best Actress Tamil for this role. In 2019, Trisha appeared as Rajinikanth’s wife in ‘Petta’. In 2021, she starred in ‘Paramapadham Vilayattu’, a political thriller where she was cast as a doctor on the trail of a murderer. In 2022, Trisha played Chola Princess Kundavai in Mani Ratnam’s magnum opus ‘Ponniyin Selvan: 1’, from a beloved Tamil epic historical novel. In 2023, she reprised her role, in ‘PS-2’. Trisha has appeared in films in five different languages.
