Vineet Kumar Singh is an Indian actor and writer, born on August 28, 1981, in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Vineet has an M.D. in Ayurveda from the Government Medical College and Hospital in Nagpur, Maharashtra. When he was 21, Vineet made his acting debut in ‘Pitaah’ (2002). Other films include ‘City of Gold’ (2010), about a family of mill workers in Mumbai, ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ (2012), the story of three rival families in the coal mafia in Jharkhand, ‘Ugly’ (2013), about a child kidnapping, ‘Daas Dev’ (2018), a political thriller and, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ (2019). In 2018, Vineet received his first nomination for Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor in his first starring role in ‘Mukkabaaz’. Vineet conceived the story and co-wrote it with his sister Mukti. He received praise for playing a struggling boxer who loves his boss’s mute niece. In 2019, he starred in the Netflix series ‘Bard of Blood’, as an Indian Intelligence Wing agent. In 2020, Vineet starred in the zombie horror series for Netflix called ‘Betaal’. He can currently be seen as Haroon Shah Ali Baig in ‘Rangbaaz’, now in its third season for Zee5. The series is based on the true story of a notorious gangster in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh.
