Ali Fazal, Indian actor and model, was born on October 15, 1986, in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Ali made his screen debut with a small part in an English-language film called ‘The Other End of the Line’ (2008). In 2009, he played the part of Joy, a student who commits suicide when he fails to complete a college project in the popular film ‘3 Idiots’. Ali’s first lead role was in the romance ‘Always Kabhi Kabhi’ (2011).  After several supporting roles, he had success as a struggling musician in ‘Fukrey’ (2013). His next was ‘Khamoshiyan’ (2015), a horror film, playing the role of a writer looking for inspiration. Also, in 2015, Ali made a special appearance in ‘Furious 7’, a Hollywood film. In 2016, he was Diana Penty’s musician boyfriend in the comedy ‘Happy Bhag Jayegi’. Ali co-starred as the Indian Muslim servant of Judi Dench in the British biographical drama, ‘Victoria & Abdul’. He also repeated his role as Zafar in ‘Fukrey Returns’ (2017) and as Guddu in ‘Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi’ (2018). In 2019, Ali was a struggling film director in ‘Milan Talkies’, a political heir apparent of MLA Sanjay Dutt in ‘Prassthanam’, and ‘House Arrest’ a comedy for Netflix. In 2022, Ali was seen in the Hollywood film ‘Death on the Nile’. Ali has also appeared in several web series, the most well-known being ‘Mirzapur’, playing the role of Guddu Pandit. The series was very popular on the Amazon Prime platform. He can currently be seen in a cameo for ‘Fukrey 3’, in the American adventure film ‘Kandahar’, and in the spy thriller ‘Khufiya’, co-starring Tabu for Netflix. In 2022, Ali married his long-time girlfriend Richa Chadha. They have recently started their own production company called Pushing Buttons Studios.
