Jim Sarbh is an Indian film and theater actor, born on  August 27, 1987, in Mumbai. Jim attended Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, and earned a psychology degree. While there, he acted in local theater productions. He continued to work in theater upon returning to Mumbai. Jim directed and wrote the 2024 play ‘Bull’.In 2016, Jim made his film debut in Ram Madhvani’s biographical drama ‘Neerja’, and won critical acclaim for his role as the antagonist in an airplane hijacking. He won several awards (IIFAA, Screen Awards, Stardust Awards, Zee Cine Awards) for Best Actor in a Negative Role and Best Male Debut. Other key films include: ‘A Death in the Gunj’ (2017), ‘Raabta’ (2017), ‘Padmaavat’ (2018), ‘Sanju’ (2018), ‘The Wedding Guest’ (2018), ‘Photograph’ and ‘House Arrest’ (2019), ‘Taish’ (2020), ‘Yeh Ballet’ (2020), ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022), ‘Mrs. Chatterjee vs. Norway’ (2023, and ‘Pune Highway’ (2025).Jim has also been in several web series: ‘Made in Heaven’ (2019) for Amazon Prime, ‘Eternally Confused and Eager for Love (2022) for Netflix, ‘Four More Shots Please’ (2022) for Amazon, and ‘Rocket Boys’ for which he gained significant attention playing Dr. :Homi J. Bhabha in the acclaimed biographical series for SonyLIV. He also won a Best Actor nomination at the 51st International Emmy Awards, and a win in the Critics category at the Filmfare OTT Awards.
