Saif Ali Khan is a Bollywood actor and producer, born on August 16, 1970, in New Delhi. Saif is the son of Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, one of Indian cricket’s greatest captains and the Nawab of Pataudi. Saif’s mother is Sharmila Tagore, a famous Indian actress. Saif made his debut in Yash Chopra’s ‘Parampara’ (1992) but won Filmfare’s Best Male Debut Award for ‘Aashiq Awara’ in 1993. Somewhat unsuccessful in the 1990s, his breakthrough performance came in 2001, with Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Dil Chahta Hai’. Some of his best movies are: ‘Kal Ho Naa Ho’ (2003), ‘Parineeta’ (2005), ‘Race’ (2008), ‘Being Cyrus’ and ‘Omkara’ (2006), and ‘Cocktail’ (2012). In 2009, Saif stepped into the role of producer with films like: ‘Love Aaj Kal’, ‘Agent Vinod’, and ‘Go Goa Gone’. In 2018, his two films were ‘Kaalakaandi’, a black comedy where Saif was dying of cancer, and ‘Baazaar’, a crime drama as a corrupt financial guru. In 2019, Saif was an 18th-century bounty hunter in ‘Laal Kaptaan’. In 2020, he was a Rajput general in the period film ‘Tanhaji’, and a new father of a 21-year-old daughter in ‘Jawaani Jaaneman’. Saif is starring in Netflix’s original crime series, ‘Sacred Games’, which has received critical acclaim. ‘Sacred Games’ came back for a second season with Saif as a police officer in Mumbai. Saif has been involved in many charitable causes, including taking responsibility for his father’s eye hospital after his death. He married actress Kareena Kapoor in 2012 (his second marriage), and they are the proud parents of son Taimur, born in 2016 and son Jeh Ali, born in 2021.  Saif’s first marriage was to actress Amrita Singh and they divorced in 2004. The couple had two children, daughter Sara and son Ibrahim.
