Shilpa Shetty is an Indian actress, model, producer, and television personality, born on June 8, 1975, in Mangalore, Karnataka. Shilpa started her career at 16 as a model for Limca soda. She is well known for her film debut opposite the psychopathic Shah Rukh Khan in the hit ‘Baazigar’ made in 1993. Her first leading role was in 1994’s ‘Aag’. Shilpa has appeared in over fifty films in the last two decades, including Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada films. Her most successful films include: ‘Main Khiladi Tu Anari’ (1994), ‘Pardesi Babu’ (1998), ‘Rishtey” (2002), ‘Phir Milenge’ (2004), and ‘Life in a…Metro’ (2007). Shilpa became a producer for the movie ‘Dishkiyaoon’ in 2014. In 2007, Shilpa became a contestant and won ‘Celebrity Big Brother UK’. In 2009, Shilpa married businessman Raj Kundra. With Raj, she became part owner of the cricket team the Rajasthan Royals. Not active in films now, she is kept busy as a businesswoman. Shilpa is a partner in a chain of spas, has a fitness DVD, and has her own perfume. She is currently a judge on ‘Super Dancer’, a kid’s dance reality series. Shilpa returned to films in 2021 with ‘Hungama 2’ a romantic comedy. She was seen in the remake of the Telugu film ‘Middle-Class Abbayi’ called ‘Nikamma’, and as the first female cop in Rohit Shetty’s Cop universe, in ‘Indian Police Force’.
