Suniel Shetty is an Indian actor, and producer, born on August 11, 1961, in Mulki, Karnataka, India. Suniel has appeared in over 100 movies in the last two and a half decades. He made his debut in ‘Balwaan’ which co-starred Divya Bharti, in 1992. He was at the height of his popularity throughout the 1990s when he was known primarily for his action roles like ‘Border’ (1998) and ‘Dilwale’ (1995). In 2001, Suniel won a Filmfare Best Villain Award for ‘Dhadkan’. Some of his more successful movies are: ‘Hera Pheri’ (2001), ‘Refugee’ (2001), ‘Main Hoon Na’ (2005), ‘Red Alert: The War Within’ (2008), and ‘A Gentleman’ (2017). In the last few years, Suniel has made several special appearances in films and has done Marathi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu films for the first time. He was last seen as the antagonist in the Tamil film ‘Darbar’ (2020), starring Rajinikanth. Aside from acting, Suniel is an entrepreneur, with several business interests in fitness, restaurants, clothing, and home lifestyle stores. Suniel’s daughter, Athiya, made her acting debut in 2015, in ‘Hero’.
