Anushka Sharma, a Bollywood actress, producer, model, born on May 1, 1988, in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh.  Anushka made her acting debut in ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’ (2008), playing the young bride of a much older geeky Shah Rukh Khan. Her third movie, ‘Band Baaja Baaraat’, was Ranveer Singh’s debut movie and a surprise hit. In 2012, she appeared as an ambitious Discovery Channel reporter who finds SRK interesting in the hit ‘Jab Tak Hai Jaan’. Anushka won a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress for this role. Anushka’s biggest successes have been starring opposite Aamir Khan in ‘P.K.’ (2014), and opposite Salman Khan in ‘Sultan’ (2016). These were two of the highest grossing Indian films ever. In most of her roles, she is a confident, independent woman. In 2015, Anushka became a successful producer and star of the thriller ‘NH-10’. Anushka also starred in the very successful ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ (2016), as Ranbir Kapoor’s obsession. The second film she produced and acted in was ‘Phillauri’ (2017), co-starring Diljit Dosanjh. In 2017, she starred with Shah Rukh Khan in Imtiaz Ali’s unsuccessful ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. In 2018, Anushka produced and starred in her third film ‘Pari’, a horror story.  She co-starred with Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Sanju’, the second highest-grossing Hindi film at the time.  Anushka then did ‘Sui Dhaaga’, with Varun Dhawan, as husband and wife entrepreneurs with a small clothing business. Finally, she starred with Shah Rukh Khan again in the unsuccessful ‘Zero’, as a scientist with cerebral palsy. In 2020, Anushka was the Executive Producer of ‘Paatal Lok’, an award-winning crime thriller web series for Amazon Prime Video. She also produced ‘Bulbbul’, a period horror film for Netflix in 2020. In 2023, she contributed to a documentary series called ‘The Romantics’.  Anushka works only occasionally now, as she is devoting her time to family.  Anushka married popular cricketer Virat Kohli in December of 2017. They have a daughter and a son.
